External Affairs

The Department of External Affairs is dedicated to cultivating prosperity for our business community by working on strategic initiatives and building strong relationships with our elected officials and key community partners. We accomplish this goal by offering members advocacy on non-partisan policy issues, access to shared information and resources, annual events with policy leaders and transparency.

When working with Armed Services, the Chamber’s mission is to develop strategic economic growth opportunities that promote and enhance Department of Defense (DoD) investments in our area.

The Pensacola Chamber is excited to give you a sneak peek into our new policy program by letting you know about the formation of our four issue-specific subcommittees. These subcommittees were selected based off feedback from chamber membership and are as follows: Healthcare, Economic Recovery, Workforce Development and Quality of Life. These advocacy teams will be chaired by members of our policy committee, however, participation and membership on the subcommittees is open to general chamber membership.

Here at the Chamber we provide our members with up to date information and strive to keep them informed on current issues at the local, state and federal level.

The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce has an active interest in the well being of our community. We highly encourage the engagement of our members in local community initiatives. We believe that a decent quality of life should be accessible for all those who choose Pensacola to live, work and play.

The Chamber's role in government affairs is to provide a comprehensive, non-partisan state and local political program to promote and protect a favorable climate for the conduct of business in northwest Florida.
