June 10th COVID-19 Update
Florida SBDC Virtual Outreach Location Office Hours
Beginning Friday, June 12th, the Florida SBDC at UWF will begin their outreach hours with the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce each week through virtual consulting hours specifically for business owners in our area. Florida SBDC at UWF Business Consultant Kyle Polhlopek will be available by email for impromptu meetings assisting with business challenges or opportunities. These meetings are confidential, no-cost, and allow you skip the traditional wait period after you request consulting from the Florida SBDC. This opportunity will be available every Friday starting June 12, between the hours of 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. More information on the Florida SBDC at UWF can be found at sbdc.uwf.edu
Steps to set up a meeting:
- Make sure it is a Friday, between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Send email to kpolhlopek@uwf.edu
- Use "Open office hours" as the emails title
- Put personal and business name in the body of the email
- Wait to be reached out to by consultant
CareerSource Escarosa Hires New CEO
Marcus McBride was searching for a job during a "scary time" when many others were in need of work during closures meant to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
In his new position as CEO of CareerSource Escarosa, McBride will help others navigate that same journey he faced. McBride will officially start his new position on June 29 after current CEO Sheryl Rehberg retires.
