The Pensacola Chamber, in conjunction with Pensacola Young Professionals, NewsRadio 1620, the League of Women Voters and the Propeller Club, hosted a Pensacola Mayoral debate at Heritage Hall. Over 100 people attended and the debate was simulcast on NewsRadio 1620.
The Chamber had representatives that asked three business-related questions. The three questions were:
1. With the current statewide controversy surrounding beach access, please describe your understanding of Florida's customary use law, and explain how you believe Escambia County should address the issue?
2. Desciribe your Four-Year Local Option Sales Tax Plan and prioritize infrastructure vs. economic development?
3. The Navy has stated that quality of life issues such as public education and spousal employment are important in how they analyze a community. How would you improve relationships with the military to address these issues?
