PENSACOLA, Fla. – Sept. 26, 2011 – On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 121st Annual Meeting at New World Landing. With more than 600 business professionals in attendance, the meeting served as an update on recent progress and goals for the 2011-2012 year.
Collier Merrill, outgoing board chairman, Jim Hizer, president/CEO and Donnie McMahon, incoming board chairman, hosted the meeting.
- During the program, Jim Hizer thanked and congratulated several volunteers, as a part of a new Chamber awards program.
- Fran Crumpton, Gulf Coast Trade Exchange - Ambassador of the Year
- Fred Donovan, Jr., Baskerville-Donovan – Committee Member of the Year
- Jim Donatelli, Regions Bank – Vision 2015 Cabinet Member of the Year
- Lewis Bear, Jr., Lewis Bear Company – Board Member of the Year
“We are honored to recognize these volunteers that play such an important role with the Chamber,” said Jim Hizer, president/CEO of the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber’s Annual Meeting is held each September. This year resulted in record-breaking attendance from the community.
