Chamber Committees

Voluntary committees offer Members the opportunity to contribute directly to the work of the Chamber and to interact with fellow Chamber Members who share common interests. Committee participation is a great way for Members to network, share ideas and further the Chamber’s objectives for area businesses through its promotion, support and advocacy initiatives.

Ambassador Council

Ambassadors serve as a public relations support for the Chamber of Commerce. They assist the Chamber's efforts to obtain, maintain and retain members through personal interaction and involvement.

Small Business Council

Develops and promotes roundtable and educational seminars with topics of interest to leaders of small to mid-sized companies, offering business owners both relevant information and networking opportunities. 

Workforce/Education Committee

The Workforce/Education Committee is organized to review the Workforce program of the Pensacola Chamber, giving input and suggestions into relevant areas of discussion. The Workforce Committee is requested to give input and suggestions on topics for Chamber special events (annual conference, special programs, speakers, etc.) related to workforce activities for the Chamber’s membership. Committee members may also be requested to address special projects with the Chamber’s Workforce Partners, such as Workforce Escarosa and or with the school districts on career preparation efforts, or in special programs as needed.

Military Appreciation Month Committee

Assists in coordinating and planning Military Appreciation Month events during the month of May.

Leadership Pensacola (LeaP)

The Leadership Pensacola Advisory Committee and Curriculum Committee Members of Leadership Pensacola represent local business individuals who hold mid to upper level management positions within their companies or organizations. Leadership Pensacola Advisory Committee members serve as the policy making committee for the LeaP program. LeaP Curriculum Committee members are selected to plan specific session activities in the annual program (Open only to Leadership Pensacola graduates.)

Legislative Subcommittee*

The Pensacola Chamber’s Legislative SubCommittee reviews and give input on business issues that affect the Chamber’s membership and business community for the Chamber’s annual Legislative program. The committee reviews the list of issues to be included in the Chamber’s legislative survey and makes recommendations to the Chamber’s leadership regarding the final legislative issues or priorities to be included in the Chamber’s legislative agenda, both state, federal and locally. Committee members support the presentation of the legislative agenda to the Northwest Florida Legislative delegation. Members will receive regular monthly updates during the State Legislative Session. Members may be requested to support or oppose initiatives as needed for Chamber grassroots support.

Transportation Subcommittee*

Addresses the transportation needs and issues of Escambia County

Underage Drinking Task Force*

Works to increase awareness and combat illegal alcohol distribution and use by underage men and women serving in the military and or living in the Pensacola Area. Meets quarterly.

* Appointment to Council is based on membership level, availability and committee chair approval.
