Membership with the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce provides ample opportunities for networking with other business professionals through more than 30 events each year.

The Chamber provides an opportunity to become involved, to stay informed and to gain business insight; and we are constantly working to develop new programs and events that will continue to inspire, educate and involve our members.

Events

Speed Networking

This is a quarterly networking event at which attendees are placed at tables and given time to introduce their company, products, services and client base to the other members at their table. Once everyone has had a turn, attendees are rotated to another table to start again.

Business After Hours

Held the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m., area businesses are able to showcase their establishments to the business community while guest make valuable contacts. Admission is free with one business card. Make this gathering a perfect time to build new business relationships and strengthen established ones. No reservations are required.

Gopher Club

On the second Tuesday of each month more than 100 of the areas top “movers and shakers” gather to network and to hear civic and business leaders address timely issues, and receive educational information designed exclusively for the areas business community. The monthly breakfasts highlight topics such as the economy, transportation, education, the environment, medical advancements, economic growth and innovation.

Chamber Series Presented by Spherion, Professional Recruiting and Staffing

The educational seminars are offered from October through June. They are a great, low cost way to educate yourself and your employees on the number of topics vital to the survival of your business. All seminars will take place at the Chamber.

Hospitality Round Table

The Hospitality Roundtable (HRT) serves as a united voice for the hospitality and tourism industry to facilitate the promotion, coordination, and development of tourism in the Pensacola Bay Area. Monthly luncheons are held the third Tuesday of each month at various locations. Topics of discussion include upcoming community events, attracting more meetings and conventions, and tourism marketing and advertising strategies.

Small Business Week

Small Businesses are the heart of the American and our local economy! Every year the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates our local small businesses for their entrepreneurial spirit, contributions to our community and positive impact on our overall quality of life through Small Business Week. This year we are celebrating in conjunction with the National Small Business Week and are pleased to bring an exciting week of events to our members.

The 2007 Chamber Golf Tournament, presented by Landrum Companies was the most successful to date with more than 100 players. This annual event held in the spring serves as an opportunity for members to network out of the office and on the green. It’s also a great opportunity to entertain clients and customers.

 

 

Business EXPO

Developing relationships is an integral part of doing business. Whether you work with clients, vendors, community leaders, government officials or your own employees, these relationships help you run your business. The more connected you are, the more opportunities you have to increase sales, make wise investments, influence opinion and hire the best people. That is that power of partnerships. Business EXPO provides a day full of booth exhibits and seminars. This is a huge day to network.

PACE Awards 2008 - What happend at the Event

Pensacola Area Commitment to Excellence (PACE) Awards is the Pensacola Bay Area's pre-eminent celebration of the Pensacola Bay Area's visionary entrepreneurs, business and civic leaders and exemplary corporate citizens. Sponsorship is an opportunity to have significant exposure at a sold out event. This is black tie event with more than 400 Community and business leaders in attendance.

Annual Meeting Presented by Baptist Health Care

This event consists of the official passing of the gavel from current chair to the incoming chair and a fun and commemorative year in review. The annual meeting has become one of the most important and exciting events of the year.

Ground Breakings and Ribbon Cuttings

The Chamber conducts Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies as a free service to Chamber members. Ceremonies can be performed by themselves or as a part of an open house or grand opening. We bring the camera, official scissors and, of course, the ribbon! To qualify, you must be a member of the Chamber and:

  • You should be within your first year of opening your business
  • OR you should be within a year of purchasing an existing business
  • OR you should be an existing business in a new business location

There are many benefits to having a ceremony for your new business or location. The Ambassadors attend ribbon cutting ceremonies on behalf of the Chamber members. Having Ambassadors in your business provides an excellent networking and publicity opportunity.
