Successful community partnerships are vital to the quality growth of the Pensacola Bay Area. The Chamber's Community Affairs Department serves as liaison between chamber members and elected officials to ensure that the concerns of business are represented in government.
Its mission is to provide a comprehensive, non-partisan state and local political program to promote and protect a favorable climate for the conduct of business in the Pensacola Bay Area.
The department brings together all sectors of the business community to create one voice for business. The department addresses political issues so business owners can concentrate on running their companies.
The Pensacola Bay Area business community relies on the Chamber to monitor and lobby issues that affect business growth. As the voice for the business community, the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce represents business interests in public policy and civic arenas by tracking legislative issues and advocating for business interests to government officials on the local, state and federal levels.
Through proactive, aggressive governmental affairs initiatives, the Chamber works to maintain and promote an environment in the Pensacola Bay Area that is conducive to business and community development.
The Chamber keeps its members informed on key issues impacting their business. Legislative News updates are published throughout the Legislative Session and are faxed and emailed to Chamber members. Position statements on key issues are adopted and distributed as approved by the Board of Directors.
